Grace & George /honeymoon beach session Maui/
As many couples this year, Grace & George had to adjust their wedding plans to the pandemic and got married in an intimate wedding back home in Philadelphia. When Maui finally opened several months later they were so excited to celebrate their honeymoon together in this beautiful place and last minute reached out to me to capture this special time for them on their last evening on the island.
We enjoyed a stunning sunset at the beach and since they never had their first dance I asked them to dance with their toes in the water as the sun set behind the mountains. It was magical.
Kristen & Juan /Upcountry Maui, Hawaii engagement/
Kristen and Juan came into our lives and immediately felt like friends we’ve known forever. They took pictures of our little family in our home and then I took their engagement photos in the pasture in front of our house. Their hearts are so beautiful and we have been incredibly blessed just to know them. They are such a beautiful reminder of God’s goodness and what life looks like when you choose Him above all else. And I’m just excited to see where He continues to take them and use them!
Miru & Otto /rainy day in-home session/
The rain poured outside but we stayed cozy in their beautiful home.
This session was one of the sweetest ones I have ever done and some of the loveliest people I got to meet through photography. I feel so, so honored when I get to capture stories like theirs. When I get invited into a home, into their lives.
Nela & Vitaliy /engagement session/
I took these two sweet souls to some of my favorite places around my parent’s house in Czech for their session. I can never fully express how thankful I am when I meet someone like Nela & Vitaliy who are just so full of kindness and gentleness towards one another and toward the world around them. Those kind of meetings are so precious and at the end of the session I feel like we’ve known each other for years.
Julie & Kyle / Maui Anniversary Session /
Meeting Julie & Kyle during their honeymoon they waited for patiently, and didn’t go on until their one year anniversary, was such a blast. It was their dream to go to Maui and I think this beautiful island was well worth the wait. I was so stoked to capture some memories from this special trip for them. And they blessed me more than they realize by inviting me into their story! It had been a while since I’ve done a shoot that was exactly what I love, and getting to shoot again with them was so much fun, and such a joy! It reminded me why this passion of mine is so worth the pursuit! And they made me extra happy by braving the pouring rain at one point, and enjoying it with me!
mom & dad /Maui beach session./
It was so special to have my parents visit us on this little island we now call home, and to experience its beauty with them. And I’m glad I managed to get them in front of my lens as well.
There is something unique and different about capturing love that has walked the mountains and valleys for over thirty years. It’s beautiful to photograph a young couple and their love that’s like trees blooming in springtime. But there is something sweet and deep about capturing a marriage that’s like an old oak tree that has stood strong through many winters.
Gretchen & Patrick /Montana de Oro sunset session/
Last evening of our short trip to California on the way of moving from Czech to Maui we got to go to one of my most favorite places in this world. Montana de Oro. I have always wanted to take pictures there, and getting to capture this precious couple, my dear friend Gretchen and her husband Patrick was such a gift! Thank you guys for being up for a spontaneous adventure!
Marta & Marek /misty fall picnic/
We photographed the wedding of Marta & Marek two years ago. Just a few short months before our own wedding. Fast forward two years of marriage we got to hang out again, picnic in the hills, and talk over a cup of tea by the fireplace later in the evening.
It made me realize that I am so thankful the stories don’t end there with the weddings we capture. That marriage is even better and sweeter than the wedding day. And that our job doesn’t end with the pictures but often goes far beyond and grows into friendships. And that two years later the story, the relationship, the pictures, have even more depth and meaning.
Jordan & Dylan /honeymoon on Maui/
I am so grateful for unexpected blessings thanks to random instagram connections. It makes me so happy when social media can become a tool to meet people and build friendships that bless us beyond our expectation.
Following Athena & Camron on instagram, I saw Jordan & Dylan’s incredible wedding photos, begin a priper stalker, I clicked through to their profiles only to see that they were honeymooning on Maui at the moment. I have missed taking photos since moving here as my business slowly transitions to a new location, so obviously I reached out to them and asked if they wanted their sweet moments of the first week of marriage captured.
We definitely talked more over a cup of coffee than took pictures, but that’s what God had in mind anyway. it was meant to be one of His unexpected gifts of strangers becoming friends and hearts from around the world connecting through His Love on an island in the middle of Pacific. So thankful these two let complete strangers crash their honeymoon. <3
Lindsay & Matt /maui, poli poli park./
Couldn’t have asked for a better couple to hang out with on my first photoshoot since moving to Maui. I am so excited to let this beautiful place inspire me in my creativity, and for all the stories I will be honored to capture here.
Martina & Banjo /maternity./
My beautiful sister and her husband are expecting a little one to join them soon and I am just thankful that I got capture this sweet season of anticipation for them before I left for the other side of the world. <3
Natalia & Jakub
Natalia & Jakub are such dear friends of ours, and when they reached out to do a shoot we didn’t hesitate one bit, despite the fact that it was our last day in Czech before moving across the world to Maui.
We couldn’t have spent our last evening better though. These two radiate so much light in this world, and they are a blessing to many! They just launched their brand new website and photography brand too, so you should check it out.
And here’s a little bit from our lovely autumn evening.
Mirjam & Thomas /Prague engagement shoot./
Mirjam and Thomas came all the way from Graz to meet up with us in Prague. I love to meet couples before the wedding, I love being able to get to know each other before the big day, and I think it’s so sweet to have the engagement season remembered in photographs. And these two amazing humans were willing to take a trip to another country to do that and I am so glad they did!
We walked the streets of Prague and explored the beautiful surroundings of it as well. We talked over lemonades, and we had a picnic in a meadow. We laughed a lot, and walked a lot. We became friends quickly, we prayed together and shared our hearts.
The incredibly humility, and kindness these two share with the world around them is so inspiring to us, and we are so happy to have met such beautiful souls and have the privilege of capturing a part of their story.
