Photography was what we invested most money in and we would always choose to do that again. Because years down the road, the way your day is documented, is what lasts. The dress is put away, the flowers whither, the cake is eaten.
When the days are long and seasons change and we need a reminder of the vows we made to one another, those photographs are a reminder of something sacred. When our loved ones are far and we miss them, those photographs remind us of their care and love for us. These images remind us what the day felt like long after the music has stopped playing.

We are Joshua & Kristy. It seriously makes us so happy that you found your way to our work and felt a connection to it. Having couples express interest in what we do, so much that they are willing to let us in and invite us into their story, is such an honor and privilege.
This is us. Our own wedding.
This is our love and connection.
We got married surrounded by twenty of our closest friends and family on the cliffs in Big Sur, CA. Our day was simple and intentional. We ate homemade sandwiches and Kristy’s dad cooked up burgers on the public picnic area grill. Wore thrifted shirt and shoes, my friend sewed the slip for the dress.
Just as we see meaning and deep value in documenting and remembering this special moment in our story, we believe in documenting yours. We are committed to noticing the little moments that will mean the world to you ten, twenty, thirty years into your marriage. The memories that will be a reminder of your love when the road gets rough.
Our Approach
We want to capture your day as it unfolds, so that you can experience every moment of your day fully and then be able to re-live it through these images.
We don’t interrupt or direct your day, we observe and notice the little moments that we know you will want to hold onto for years.
We want the images to bring you right back into the emotions and beauty of the day, to remind you of the importance of your vows in the years to come. We hope for their value to grow with each added year of a life lived side by side. And most of all, we hope for them to be just a glimpse of the beauty of your marriage. Because a love-filled marriage is a thousand times better than the most beautiful wedding day.

If you want beautiful photos at an amazing location but can't get there on your wedding day, you can add a 'day after' adventure shoot to your package. This means we will choose a date soon after your wedding to shoot just the two of you in your wedding attire.
DAY-BEFORE SESSION $500
Planning a wedding can be busy with very little time to actually be with your person. This gives you a chance to reconnect before your wedding day. (100% recommend based on our own experience. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the evening prior to our wedding than adventuring with our photographer during sunset at our favorite place.)

Your online gallery allows you to order any prints, cards etc. from high-quality print shop on your own at any time.

*For out of the island shoots we add a travel fee on top of travel cost for a few reasons. Being away from home means being away from the running of our business and saying no to any shoots during those dates. The in-between costs of travel can add up - food, gas, unexpected travel expenses, emergencies etc.
“On a personal side, since the very first moment we met Kristy at our pre-wedding shoot, we instantly knew that it was a perfect match. The whole photoshoot felt absolutely natural (even though we’re definitely not pros) and we had so much fun. We talked a lot and we laughed even more. As Kristy laughed at our lame jokes, we knew that we found a new friend in her. Honestly, it felt like we had two more friends in her and Josh coming to our wedding.
On the professional side, the photos Kristy took are simply amazing. Not just perfectly beautiful but she has the incredible gift of capturing the subtle moments just as they are. The photos really make you feel all the emotions. No fake glam, no stiff poses, just pure joy and warmth coming out of the pictures.
To sum it up, I am so grateful we found our way to Kristy and Josh. And her photos, well, I got one of the pics she took at our wedding tattooed on my arm, so I think that sums up my excitement for her work pretty adequately”.

Booking
If you’re ready to jump in and book now just let us know and we will send a contract and invoice for a deposit over and we can start planning the details. We require a 50% deposit and signed contract to book and reserve the date.
